Operations Planning & Compliance Manager – 4 Days per Week

Gather By is an Australian Manuka honey company based in Ballina, producing premium Australian Manuka honey and related products for Australian and international markets.

We are looking for a highly organised and practical Operations Planning & Compliance Manager to coordinate our production planning, inventory, purchasing, compliance and operational systems.

This is a permanent four-day-per-week role and a key position connecting sales requirements with purchasing, production, warehouse and dispatch.

The role

Your job is to make sure production is planned, ready, documented and compliant before work begins.

Key responsibilities include:

• Production planning, scheduling and work orders
• Inventory forecasting and purchasing
• Ensuring honey, packaging, labels and materials are available before production
• Bulk honey forecasting and operational coordination
• MGO testing, certificates and results management
• Batch records, traceability and document control
• HACCP, B-QUAL, Halal, DPI and food-manufacturing compliance
• New export-market compliance requirements
• Freight, logistics and 3PL coordination
• Operational stock systems and inventory reconciliation
• Supplier coordination and invoice verification
• DIFOT monitoring and operational reporting
• WHS coordination
• SOP development and continuous improvement
• Identifying supply, production and compliance risks before they affect delivery

How the team works

This role focuses on planning, coordination, systems and compliance. You will work closely with our Warehouse Manager, who manages the physical warehouse and inventory, and our Production & Dispatch Supervisor, who manages day-to-day production, packing and dispatch.

You are not expected to run every operational function yourself. Your responsibility is to make sure the people executing the work have the right plan, materials, information and documentation to do it properly.

About you

You will be organised, practical and comfortable working in a growing food-manufacturing business where accuracy, planning and accountability matter.

Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment would be highly regarded, particularly in production planning, inventory and purchasing, food safety and quality systems, HACCP, traceability, logistics, 3PL coordination or export documentation.

Strong systems skills, attention to detail, clear communication and the ability to anticipate problems are essential.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
