Description:
The Microsoft Business Operations Product & Launch group is a dynamic and fast evolving team with a mission to deliver Microsoft’s products and services to market with speed, quality, and compliance. The organization is responsible for working with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful launch of Microsoft products and services to Commercial and Consumer customers. As a Operations Manager, Product Launch Program Management, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of Program Managers that work with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Tax, etc.) to understand, capture, and translate launch requirements into high quality configuration, ensuring Microsoft’s broad catalog of products and services ship on time, to the right regions and channels, at the right prices. You will do this by driving process excellence, leveraging data analytics to measure and improve performance, ensuring quality practices and compliance, and influencing system solutions that help automate for scale.
This opportunity will allow you to develop deep business acumen across Consumer and Commercial business lines, manage and coach across different launch process and systems landscapes, and lead in a critical operational role that gets cutting edge Microsoft products and services to market. You will be responsible for driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance. QUALIFICATIONS
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 4+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
- OR equivalent experience
- Business level fluency to read, write and speak English.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 8+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
- OR Master’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
- OR equivalent experience
- 1+ years of people management experience
- Analytical skills and problem solving, relationship building, presentation, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking capabilities
- Launch Management and Product Go-to-Market execution experience
- Catalog, Offer or Pricing Management experience
- Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, ERP, SAP, PowerBI / Data Visualization

Responsibilities:
- Leads teams to understand and incorporate internal product business requirements and needs of end users, customers, and stakeholders into a product data plan of record that meets launch goals and desired marketplace capabilities (e.g. accurate product attribution, price, dates).
- Coaches team to develop knowledge of broad operational, functional areas, their requirements, and interdependencies to support translation of marketing strategy into the launch of high-quality product and service configuration.
- Leads the team to develop new or improved launch capabilities that make it easier to do business with Microsoft. Drives continuous improvement of product operational excellence by collaborating across internal and external teams.
- Drives the team to assess launch processes and streamline time-to-market delivery, while ensuring compliance with all legal, tax, trade, and other regulatory guidance.
- Develops teams to evaluate launch risks landscape and leads teams in communicating product or launch risks to internal and external stakeholders. Provides guidance to teams to develop mitigation plans or acceptance of risks.
- Ensures the successful launch of products and services, managing troubleshooting of any issues that arise and driving timely resolution. Evaluates success metrics for launches post execution.
