Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Our employees work on the world’s most advanced electronics. At Electronic Systems, you’ll be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry’s most difficult problems. Drawing strength from our differences, we’re innovating for the future. And you can, too. We put our customers first – exemplified by our missions: “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®” and “We Innovate For Those Who Move The World™.” Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.
Join the Module Development Facility (MDF) as an Operations Specialist working with an advanced team of engineers and manufacturing technicians in the development and introduction of new product lines at BAE Systems. As an operations specialist you will primarily be tracking product flow, shipping material to internal and external customers, processing work orders, conducting inventory, communicating production problems and gathering the appropriate resources needed to resolve critical manufacturing needs. The MDF focuses on early production prototype work which requires frequent interaction with engineers and key stakeholders to resolve complex problems.
In this role, you will also be critical contributor in coordinating work orders for MMICs that ship to all BAE programs, carrier assemblies and other microelectronics by utilizing software such as Promis, PAperless, and Oracle. The process of wafer manufacturing is highly complex requiring advanced critical thinking and attention to detail to properly process wafer lots and work orders from start to finish. Due to this, you will be working with production control planners, engineers and quality representatives to ensure production goals are met in a timely manner. Your frequent interaction with floor employees, and support staff will be required, ensuring the team has the information, and materials they need for success of the team.
