About the Role 💡 Operations is the backbone of the firm. It spans everything that keeps trading supported, the business controlled, and the workplace running, from trade operations and risk through to finance, people, and business development. Your Mission at Life Trading 🎯 Depending on your area, you might: Trading Operations: Support daily trade capture, validation, settlement, and the trade lifecycle Reconcile cash, positions, and P&L across brokers, exchanges, and clearers Investigate and resolve trade breaks and discrepancies Risk, Compliance & Surveillance: Monitor risk and exposure against limits, and escalate breaches Support compliance monitoring, regulatory obligations, and policy adherence Assist with trade surveillance and the firm's control framework Finance: Support month-end close, management reporting, and day-to-day finance operations Assist with payments, expense reconciliation, and financial reporting HR & Workplace: Support HR and people operations across the employee lifecycle, onboarding, and records Help run the office day to day and create a welcoming, well-organised workplace Business Development & Broader Operations: Support business development, partnerships, and relationship management Provide broad operational and administrative support across the business What We're Looking For 👀 Strong numeracy and a high bar for accuracy and attention to detail A methodical, organised, and process-driven approach Clear written and verbal communication Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and business systems Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay calm to deadlines Sound judgement, discretion, and a controls-minded approach Adaptability and a willingness to work across different functions Bonus Points For ✅ Experience in a relevant area, such as trading operations, risk, compliance, finance, HR, office management, or business development Exposure to trading, financial services, or professional services Understanding of the trade lifecycle, reconciliations, or regulatory environments (for relevant roles) Familiarity with systems such as HiBob, NetSuite, or similar Experience in a start-up or fast-paced, high-growth business A Bit About the Team 🤝 You'll be joining a collaborative Operations team that spans trading operations, risk, compliance, surveillance, finance, people, and business development, and works closely across the entire business.
