The Operations Schedule planning team sits within the Operational Planning team as part of the Operations Planning department. This role reports to the Operations Schedule Manager and supports the design of the commercial flight schedule by assuring it is safe, operationally feasible and cost efficient. The role will work closely with Scheduling and Operational team leading the coordination of future schedule activities.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
In this role, you will coordinate the safety processes for new routes and network points, validate production schedules, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will test and assess future network scenarios, validate commercial fleet plans, and design crew pairing frameworks to manage legality, fatigue, and reliability. Your responsibilities include influencing operational resilience, coordinating non-standard activities such as nightstops, crew slipping and new aircraft types, and owning Operational Readiness change cycles (ORPS) as required. You will also review and respond to schedule-related safety reports, gather operational feedback, and drive continuous improvement through research and development of new operational initiatives.
Requirements of the Role
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for understanding and interpreting data, using insights to recommend changes and improvements to schedule builds. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, along with a good working knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office suite. Experience in stakeholder management and operational planning is highly desirable. The candidate should be skilled in data modelling to drive business initiatives and enhance operational performance, with excellent planning, organisation, and project management abilities. A creative approach to data visualisation and presentation is also crucial for success in this role. Experience in Pairings Optimisation, OTP forecasting tools, MS SQL Studio and Tableau is desirable.
