We are seeking an Operations Specialist (m/w/d), located in the United Kingdom, Rugby. This position will be 100% onsite and will incorporate shipping/logistics and technical assembly/repair functions.

How you will make a difference @ FARO 

  • Use of ERP (SAP) to complete shipping and inventory requirements
  • Ability to assemble, program and test electro-mechanical assemblies in accordance with work instructions
  • Repair of electro-mechanical devices
  • Work from service check lists, procedures, instructions, customer and unit records, computer programs and similar documentations
  • Perform incoming inspection on all service products. Verify accuracy, confirm reported problems, and route product to the correct team
  • Diagnose and isolate potential hardware problems, and modify per documented requirements to resolve problems
  • Test repaired or modified units, reassemble to suit specifications and issue repaired units for shipping
  • Document repairs and annotate in customer and product files as required.
  • Monitor, track, and trace import & export shipments and returned items. Investigate, and report discrepancies
  • Perform daily logistic functions to include receive, control, monitor, sort, label, store, pick, move, pack, ship, and issue material
  • Select shipping methods and appropriate carriers to ensure compliance with customer requirements and meet cost control objectives
  • Load and unload trucks as required ensuring shipments are routed correctly, examine cartons for obvious damage, report unusual conditions, and ensure all accepted shipments are signed for
  • Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required, or directed to maintain workflow and meet departmental requirements
  • Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules

This position requires 

  • Trade, Apprenticeship or College education
  • Demonstrated relevant working experience in a logistics environment
  • Demonstrable technical ability
  • Strong Computer skills, including CRM and ERP Software, and proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to lift 65 lbs. (29.5 Kg) at a time unassisted
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Positive, enthusiastic approach to work exhibiting a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
  • A team player
  • Attention to detail
