Description
The Operations Specialist assists the government with coordinating, synchronizing, and deconflicting current and future operations, assisting the Government with coordinating with other units, theater activities and agencies, regarding capabilities, plans, policy, training, exercises, and strategy in support of Government activities, at the direction of the government, serves as special mission subject matter expert, assist with facilitating and planning in support of Course of Action (COA) and Concept of Operation (CONOP) development and subsequent training and operations on a global scale, as directed by the Government, conducts Pre-Deployment Site Survey duties, schedule civilian/military ranges, aircraft and support personnel to support training and operations, assist in the oversight of training iterations, work around demolitions (to include breaching), all small and large arms up to and including 40-millimeter, .50 caliber, and Anti-Tank munitions, pyrotechnics to include ground burst simulators, and simulations, operate military and civilian vehicles in the execution of ground mobility training, observe the following training operations: Close Quarters Combat, urban and rural assaults training operations, small unit tactics, low-visibility operations and tradecraft, Personal Security Detail operations, combat life saver training including Tactical Combat Casualty Care, utilize night vision devices, weapons systems small and large, drive standard and nonstandard military and civilian vehicles, fly on rotary and fixed wing aircraft, operate standard and nonstandard maritime vehicles, operate military and civilian radios systems, perform duties as Range Safety Officer/Officer in Charge in accordance with base and installation range policies and procedures, instruct and guide civilian and military role players in support of training exercises and conduct all training exercise support operations, perform duties as target safety official that include safety evaluation walk-throughs for integrated live fire scenarios, will have complete working knowledge of live-fire and simulation-fire safety standards, assist in the planning, development, and oversight of training/exercise programs that support real-world operational rehearsals.
