Our client, a supplier to the mining industry, is looking for an experienced Operations Superintendent to join their well-established and tenured team.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is accountable for overseeing the Operations area at the site, including Manufacturing, Safety, Health and Environment, Quality, Human Resources, and production coordination. The role ensures safe and compliant operations, delivering business objectives by efficiently leveraging resources, maintaining consistent operational practices, enabling effective coordination with support groups, and optimizing operations to meet the business’s immediate, near-term, and long-term goals.

REQUIREMENTS

· Science degree or Engineering diploma with 10+ years of supervisory/management experience in plant operations.
· 15+ years of experience in safe operation of high-hazard plants.
· Expertise in manufacturing, safety, training, maintenance, cost control, budgeting, project management, technical management, and industrial relations.
· Ability to set and deliver strategic goals aligned with business vision.
· Strong leadership, delegation, and staff resource management skills.
· Available for 24/7 on-call support, including weekends and holidays.
· Routine use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, steel-toe shoes, hard hat, safety glasses is a must.
