Description Operations Supervisor, 3rd Shift Supervise Operation Associates daily responsibilities ensuring all operational goals are achieved for output, quality, safety, housekeeping and communications. Direct responsibilities for Operations Associate performance, training, and adherence to company policies. Summary: Operations Supervisor provides supervision, of all Production Associates ensuring all operational goals are achieved for output, quality, safety, and housekeeping. Provides communication, direction, corrective action, coaching and training for Production Associates. Essential Duties: Provide direction and ensure that team members are following all processes, procedures, and protocols within specifications Manage daily inventory including raw materials to ensure adequate supply for production Recognize employees for jobs well done; motivate team Maintain all safety and housekeeping requirements and ISO quality standards Timely report and investigate all accidents and incidents Maintain all employee time tracking including holidays, unpaid time, absences, and paid time off Coordinate the daily activities of the department ensuring maximum efficiency by maximizing utilization of labor, equipment capacity, and materials Ensure team is trained by assessing team members training needs and completing required training in a timely manner Identify and manage department staffing needs including overtime management Provide recommendations for associate performance reviews Review associate performance and pay for performance certifications Assign duties and follow up to ensure completion Facilitate shift/department meetings Start-up equipment and shut down when a safety concern arises that merits the shut down Administer disciplinary documentation and procedures as necessary Other duties as assigned Work Schedule: 3rd Shift 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday, subject to change, overtime may be required Required Skills and Knowledge: Requirements Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Science, Engineering, Business or related field and/or 3 years supervisory/team lead experience. Must have a good understanding of computers and Microsoft products. Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and excellent oral and written communications skills in a manufacturing environment. Excellent organizational abilities, and self-motivated Working Conditions: Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds weight when necessary. Must be able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Physical mobility and agility due to exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example, twelve-hour shifts) required.
