THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Lysaght business is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join the operations team based in Darwin, NT. Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects.
Using 100% Australian made steel in the manufacturing process, you’ll be key to providing customers with what they need, when they need it. as you’re managing the day-to-day operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll keep schedules on track, support your team across varied tasks, and ensure safety remains the top priority. You will:

  • lead and supervise the operations area, including production scheduling, machine operation, and training
  • perform warehousing functions such as goods receipting, order consolidation, despatch, and stock control
  • oversee the despatch of product, ensuring compliance with safe load practices and conducting audits as required
  • support and assist your team with daily operational activities
  • initiate and lead site improvement projects to enhance efficiency and performance
  • liaise with third-party maintenance providers to manage regular maintenance and address breakdowns
  • identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and risk mitigation, striving for on-time delivery for our customers
  • champion evolving safety standards, driving change when risks or opportunities are identified
  • grow and mentor your team, developing technical capabilities and cross-skilling team members
