Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team in a key operational role within our meat processing facility. This position covers a variety of tasks across intake, production (boning hall), dispatch, stock management, machinery maintenance, and occasional delivery driving. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of daily operations, with a focus on quality, traceability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Intake & Stock Control
Operate forklifts safely for unloading and moving goods.
Receive deliveries, verify quantities and product quality against delivery notes.
Record all stock on the system for full traceability.
Rotate stock in accordance with FIFO principles.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excesses.
Boning Hall Operations
Cut and prepare meats to required specifications.
Manage and prioritise preparation lists to meet stock and dispatch requirements.
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Carry out daily and weekly temperature checks for compliance.
Follow and maintain the cleaning schedule for equipment and work areas.
Dispatch & Deliveries
Organise and dispatch orders in line with customer deadlines.
Ensure all dispatch paperwork and traceability documentation are complete and accurate.
Carry out occasional delivery driving to customers when required.
Overseeing & Maintenance
Perform quality control checks to ensure all products meet company and customer standards.
Maintain and carry out minor repairs on machinery as required.
Report major equipment issues promptly to management or external engineers.
Skills & Requirements:
Proficiency in English (oral and written) required
Full, clean driving licence (essential).
Experience in a meat processing or food production environment (advantageous).
Forklift licence and experience (required).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and food safety.
Knowledge of HACCP and traceability systems.
Ability to work in a cold environment and follow health & safety guidelines.
Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy products.
Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday-6.00 to 15.00
Work Environment:
This role involves working in chilled environments, standing for extended periods, and handling meat products. PPE and training will be provided.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
