Responsibilities

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing efficient, compliant, and high-quality waste collection, disposal, and recycling operations. This includes managing staff and equipment to meet service demands, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with the District Manager on budgeting and performance.

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of waste collection, disposal, and recycling teams
  • Allocate personnel and equipment to meet customer and route needs efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify and address areas for improvement
  • Manage, train, and support team members to promote high performance and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize route planning and resource allocation
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, including service logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance reports
  • Lead regular safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a culture of safety
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment maintenance, ensuring all assets remain in good working condition
