Description

Summary: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the planning, organizing, and directing of production activities and employee placement/training/development to cost effectively produce a high-quality finished product within a shift. Responsible for coordinating all activities within assigned area of the plant. The Operations Supervisor will ensure all food preparation and packaging is compliant to the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations. The Operations Supervisor will analyze production performance and implement process improvements to minimize downtime, reduce material and labor requirements, and lower overall cost per pound of our products while maintaining a continuous improvement environment. The Operations Supervisor will create an environment where employees feel valued, challenged and empowered by evaluating performance and potential of each employee and provide appropriate coaching

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Operations Leadership, preferably in a food manufacturing environment
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in business management or work equivalent experience
  • Lean, and/ or Six Sigma training preferred
  • Prior experience in TPM fundamentals preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of GMP’s, HACCP and OSHA regulations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for coaching, developing and performance reviews of employees; including disciplinary actions
  • Leads by example including demonstration of all job functions, with consistent enforcement of all company policies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office systems (word, excel, outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive change management
  • Demonstrate ability to develop, implement, and sustain plant quality, sanitation, and process related policies and procedures
  • Exposure to food processing systems including high speed production lines
  • Strong leadership skills
