KEY COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in an Operations Management role preferably in the food services industry
  • Knowledge/Experience in a cold store environment
  • Good industry and product knowledge
  • Strong people management skills
  • Well-developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including being able to motivate others and create a team environment
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously within expected deadlines
  • Ability to manage work autonomously
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • MR and Forklift license essential
  • Certificate III in Transport & Logistics would be preferred
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

To lead the entire warehouse and transport function in achieving common objectives each day.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the daily co-ordination of warehouse operations – Transport, Warehouse and Stock Control
  • Ensure staff and branch work practices comply with all company/ legislative policies and procedures (including OH&S and HACCP guidelines)
  • Ensure all KPI’s and targets are achieved within the agreed time frames
  • Work with management team to develop and implement branch level strategies to improve customer outcomes and branch profitability
  • Ensure the warehouse and associated vehicles and tools are maintained to standard
  • Assist management and support all Stock Control, Replenishing and Supply Chain objectives
