11:00 until 20:00 with a 30 minute break (42.5 hours a week)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure that the trunking fleet departs at the agreed times and ensure all vehicles are loaded to a safe and efficient capacity. You will manage a team of warehouse operatives and the fleet of drivers in their day to day operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To Control safe and secure unloading and loading of vehicles
· When required, to secure the building and its grounds
· To ensure manual handling equipment is used in line with Health and Safety standards
· To accurately and efficiently record information
· To ensure that all drivers are debriefed and any information is shared with the planner ready for the following morning.
· To ensure all processes are completed daily and in line with the agreed timeframes.
· To liaise with office staff to report discrepancies and any handling issues
· To conduct regular debrief meetings with your Manager
· To provide a high level of internal and external customer care
· To control and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse environment and equipment
