LOCATION:

  • Daily shifts will be from the primary work location at 6 Huisson Road, Carp ON K0A 1L0
  • Staff parking is provided at the entrance to the grounds, additional parking is available on the street
  • The average shift will be from 7am-3pm, some evenings and weekend shifts will be required from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain a clean driving record and criminal record
  • Have a valid driver’s license, G or greater, comfortable driving medium duty trucks and able to tow trailers
  • Experience leading or managing others
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Products
  • Be able to work in Canada
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English, French is a plus
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE: OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

In this role, the Operations Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager and may have direction given by the Office Manager as well as the Executive Team.
This role is an entry level management position and time is split between completing pick ups and deliveries of potties, service runs as a pump truck operator, administration, team leadership and supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a clean appearance at all times
  • Sign in and out at the office for each shift
  • Load, unload and move inventory on and around the job sites and storage yard by hand or with a hand cart/dolly
  • Ensure job site is organized and free of clutter, garbage and any other mess
  • Put tools and other items back in their designated place at the end of use or shift
  • Ensure secure loads when transporting equipment
  • Safely operate regular passenger vehicles and heavy trucks in designated areas
  • Follow directions on software application and record appropriate information
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure that company vehicles are clean, organized and maintained properly, inside and outside
  • Pump out, clean, sanitize and restock rental units
  • Review stock levels and ensure adequate supply, notify supervisor of items getting low
  • Always demonstrate professionalism when communicating with team members and clients. Staff must display patience and understanding when dealing with clients.
  • Staff should maintain a sense of urgency but also remember to maintain a safe environment.
  • Communicate with clients to avoid or resolve any service related concerns
  • Allocate service jobs to appropriate trucks in the routing program
  • Ensure staff are completing required tasks
  • Maintain a high level of quality control
  • Prepare and distribute weekly meeting agendas for Management Meetings
  • Perform interviews and work with Office Team for hiring process
  • Communicate with and remind staff of ongoing tasks and performance reminders
  • Respond to last minute client requests when applicable
  • Complete staff performance appraisals, redirections, training, reprimands and terminations
  • Responsible for ensuring that the yard and storage areas procedures and policies are being followed and always tidy and organized, inventory placed in designated zones
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies are being adhered to and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Assist with sales and marketing tasks to aid in company growth
  • Perform and delegate repair and maintenance duties of inventory and vehicles
  • Ensure daily, monthly and annual inspections are completed
  • Create weekly employee schedule and assign trucks
  • Create and implement new policies and procedures to help with continuous improvements
