Position Summary The Operations Supervisor plays a key leadership role in our field operations. This person helps plan, coordinate, and oversee our drivers, operators, and equipment to ensure every project runs smoothly, safely, and on time. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and ready to make things happen in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or GED (some college or equivalent experience preferred) • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required) • Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal • Proficient with computers, including MS Word, Excel, Internet, and mobile apps • Basic understanding of dump trucks, heavy equipment, or asphalt operations (preferred) • Minimum 3 years of driving experience with a valid CDL Class A and DOT medical card (preferred). • Must obtain a CDL within one (1) year of hire if not already held. • Clean driving record: o No reckless driving or DUI violations o No at-fault accidents within the past 3 years o No positive or refused substance abuse tests while working for a commercial carrier • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving evaluation with a senior trucking supervisor within the first year of employment Physical Requirements Lift 25?50 lbs. regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs. • Frequent climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, pulling, and gear shifting • May require standing or sitting for long periods • Normal vision (corrected) including close, distance, and peripheral sight • Must remain aware of surroundings at all times and use proper PPE due to exposure to outdoor and construction environments. Key Responsibilities • Plan and coordinate daily operations to ensure drivers, trucks, and equipment are assigned efficiently • Communicate with customers before each job to confirm routes, safety plans, and expectations • Visit job sites to verify that work is being done safely and effectively • Review and confirm dispatch accuracy for each shift • Work closely with the Shop Manager, Foreperson, and Dispatch team to ensure equipment is ready and safe (fuel, lights, safety gear, etc.) • Build strong relationships with clients’ field teams superintendents, inspectors, and project managers • Coach and mentor employees, supporting their growth and development • Provide performance feedback, recognize achievements, and address issues professionally and promptly • Conduct and document accident or incident investigations • Prepare and submit detailed End-of-Shift reports summarizing work completed, safety issues, and personnel performance • Support and enforce all company safety, environmental, and operational procedures. Additional Responsibilities • Maintain company vehicles and ensure all team vehicles and equipment are clean and safe • Be flexible with shift hours day, night, and weekend work may be required • You must travel to job sites across central Florida • Participate in random drug and alcohol testing as required for safety-sensitive positions • Learn and use the TransPremier Online Portal to manage dispatches, tickets, and reports • Must become certified in conducting on-duty drug and alcohol impairment testing for employees.
