As an Operations Support Coordinator, you will be essential in facilitating smooth operational processes and enhancing communication with the couriers. Maintaining and improving SLA’s within the contract. Reporting to the Operations Managers, you will utilize your core skills in English and effective phone etiquette to ensure clear communication. These responsibilities include:
Provide onsite coverage at the depot from 05.30 - 12 noon
Owning the load out process to ensure:
o Delivery Teams have necessary supplies e.g. Sack Barrows, Delivery Teams have necessary supplies e.g. Sack Barrows, Straps, Protective Blankets, Floor Runners
o All Vehicles are loaded safely and efficiently as per Company loading standards
o Be physically present during load out and support as needed
Ensuring Delivery Teams adhere to all safety protocols and are trained to Company standards
Guarantee delivery team’s compliance with
o Uniform policy
o Use of safety gear (safety shoes, shoe covers, clean gloves)
o Drug Test requirements
Conduct Delivery Teams’ stand-ups and mentoring sessions to reinforce safety, compliance, and address performance issues
Provide daily load out recaps the depot, addressing key topics such as
o Delivery Team attire exceptions
o Vehicle appearance and cleanliness exceptions
o Material handling equipment exceptions
o Pre-departure checklist exceptions
o Late Departures
o Dropped Routes
Inspect vehicles regularly, marking defective vehicles as VOR and report to Carrier to ensure following standards are met:
o Clean, blemish-free appearance
o Only Site-approved livery displayed
o Insured and compliant with Road and Transport regulations
o Equipped with necessary material handling equipment
Provide a stop compliance report and a summary of exceptions as part of the end-of-day report. The depot will ensure this information is accessible through its systems or provided electronically to the Operations Support Coordinator.
