Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support assists in coordinating across multiple sites for Warehouse, Despatch, Production, Facilities and IT, ensuring team functions align with business objectives and deliver consistent operational excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to highly motivated, hard working and hands on.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in a warehouse supervisory role
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft and ERP packages.
  • Skilled in administrative following processes.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload, balancing multiple areas of responsibility.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in improving processes, efficiency and achieving the best outcomes.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in providing cross-departmental support.
  • Able to work both independently and within a team
  • Able to carry out manual tasks.
  • Aware of good housekeeping practices and health and safety procedures.
  • Familiar with ISO standards.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to prioritise effectively, assist colleagues when required and follow instructions from management closely.
  • Reach/Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is advantageous.
  • Must hold a valid UK driver’s licence
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Ensure incoming products meet quality standards.
  • Maximise opportunities for reusing, recycling and responsibly disposing of products and packaging.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects to support the Operations Manager.
  • Consistently uphold Company values, policies and procedures

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand all operational processes and logistics by creating and maintaining user/team setups, testing and innovating new processes, supporting projects from conception to completion with effective time and cost control.
  • Adaptable to a changing working environment depending on the workload, e.g. liaising with several contractors/departments simultaneously.
  • Support a range of teams effectively by providing training and guidance, communicating with management on workloads and priorities and building strong relationships across departments.
  • Analyse issues, errors, and inefficiencies to develop, monitor, and improve KPIs and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure warehouse operations are efficient, stock is maintained and required changes are project-managed effectively.
  • Liaise with contractors, colleagues and suppliers to maintain facility cleanliness and stock levels.
  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations, ISO 9001 standards and company policies.
