Description

Warehouse Operations Supervisor role is to provide overall support to the Suffolk warehouse operations; ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of inventory and materials within the facility while keeping associates safe. The supervisor’s role is to ensure the team delivers accurate, top-quality orders on time to our

customers. The ideal candidate would be a responsible leader, reliable and a self-motivator; responsible for leading by example and motivating other associates on the floor.
The ideal candidate will be required to operate all forklift equipment in the facility, this position will be a working hands-on approach position to unload, load and perform various other warehouse tasks related to inventory management, product storage and order fulfillment.
As a supervisor role you will be responsible to ensure processes are adhered to by self and team members and done so in a safe manner; maintain KPI’s (IC Accuracy 99%, D2S 48 hrs, OTIF 98%,Detention .05), communicate daily to team members on the floor and collaboration with management , SCM and sales.

WAREHOUSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Startup at least 1530mins prior to team startup and are able to stay back 1530mins max after team departure; also, at times staying beyond shift to assist to take care of customer requirements.
  • Lead by example to provide motivation, direction, support while using safe practices to maintain morale, productivity and safety among staff
  • Train and assist with any processes regarding receiving and shipping of inventory with hands on approach.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and quality orders checks.
  • Maintain accurate stock placement
  • Work with the team to meet production goals, deadlines and company standards.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse building to promote safety and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure and Enforce safety is a priority and proper training is provided to all associates, ensure and make use of PPE.
  • Ensure warehouse and building equipment is checked and well taken care of by all associates.
  • Participation in safety training sessions and topics with the team.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and checks, minimizing discrepancies.
  • Complete shipping audits for outbound and inbound movements.
  • Utilize labor according to volume of work to minimize cost and eliminate any waste.
  • Provide ideas to improve production output, processes and elimination of any waste in the warehouse.
  • Daily communication with management, SCM, sales and all associates at the warehouse.
  • Email, Excel spreadsheet and SAP system usage expected.
  • Basic computer, zebra and printer knowledge.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for 8+ hrs and work in hot and cold indoor environments.
