About The Role


Due to our continuous growth, we are seeking two experienced Operations Support Leads to provide practical support to our Operations Managers across multiple sites and business units. One will be located North of the River (Wangara), and the other will be based South of the River (Kewdale).


Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work alongside operational leaders to coordinate people, vehicles and daily activities, resolve issues and ensure consistent safety, service and performance standards.


The role will also provide the opportunity to step into an Operations Manager/2IC capacity on an ad hoc basis, providing leadership and operational coverage when required.


Key Responsibilities In This Role Will Include


  • Support Operations Managers with day-to-day operational requirements
  • Coordinate drivers, vehicles and daily work allocation
  • Assist with scheduling, handovers, customer requirements and disruptions
  • Provide hands-on support to operational and office teams
  • Step into an Operations Manager/2IC role when required
  • Provide leadership and direction to teams when delegated
  • Identify and escalate safety, fatigue, service and people issues
  • Support different business units and learn their individual operating requirements
  • Assist with resolving operational issues and maintaining service standards
  • Ensure commitments are followed through and operational standards are maintained

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need


  • Previous transport or logistics operations experience
  • Proven experience leading or supervising his team
  • Strong experience coordinating drivers and customers
  • The ability to adapt to different sites, customers and operating environments
  • Confidence stepping up and taking operational responsibility when required
  • A practical approach to problem-solving and escalation management
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
