Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Support Specialist will operate in the Houston shop performing a variety of operational tasks to include organizing and packing in/outbound shipments of assets for local rework, coordinating with our UK team for return for repair shipments, keeping track of all delivery tickets as well as purchase order entry related to reworks and other various shop activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be accountable for the following functions and responsibilities: Safely operate company vehicles and equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes and shop truck for deliveries, pickups and material movement Assist with ordering and organization of consumable shop supplies and crates for international shipments Maintain tool calibration schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards Support shop organization and maintenance (supplies, waste areas, racking, facility upkeep) Manage inbound and outbound shipments, including packing, scheduling, and documentation Receive tools from the field and scan and upload documentation Coordinate return-for-repair (RFR) shipments with the UK logistics team in line with company and government regulations Prepare and pack rework shipments to local vendors, record tools in Drakewell with the correct PO, and create matching POs in MSD Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information Assist with picking the required quantity of materials according to pick list Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak, read, and write in the English Language fluently. Have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and be able to operate basic office equipment, such as a keyboard, mouse, and copier/printer/scanning machine. Attention to detail, neat and organized, always keeping Safety First. Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship. Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record. Ability to work in shifts and overtime (weekends and some holidays included) as required, be flexible in working requirements as the needs of the business dictate is preferred. Ability to use precision hand tools preferred. Minimum of 1-year experience using overhead crane and forklift is preferred. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
