JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations System Engineer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing the company’s critical custom applications, ensuring seamless integration with industrial automation systems. This role requires expertise in VB.Net, C#, VBS, and VBA, along with strong database management and custom reporting skills. Additionally, the engineer will work closely with Control Engineers to support PLC and SCADA systems, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software-driven automation processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in VB.Net, C#, VBS, and VBA for application development and automation.
• Strong experience with SQL databases, including stored procedures, queries, and optimization.
• Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems, with experience in industrial automation integration.
• Familiarity with custom reporting tools and business intelligence solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot software, database, and industrial control system issues.
• Understanding of network architecture and cybersecurity best practices in an OT environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with Control Engineers and other cross-functional teams.

• Document software applications, system configurations, and database structures to ensure long-term maintainability.
