UPMC HOME HEALTH IS HIRING AN OPERATIONS TEAM ASSISTANT!

This is a remote position following an in-person orientation at a UPMC Home Health office. Candidates must live near a UPMC Home Health office for periodic, office-related meetings. Our department collaborates closely with the clinical team to ensure timely order completion, enabling efficient billing for services rendered. We are responsible for following up and tracking orders to help maintain a positive financial outcome. This role offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your customer service expertise while playing a key part in driving successful results.

Responsibilities
  • Track unreturned orders from the audits and Medicare billing lists.
  • Identify and notify the Operations Supervisor of incorrect physician and/or address.
  • Track outstanding 485s and verbal orders by cross-referencing outstanding 485s/verbal order reports and mail orders to physicians.
  • Print employee labels.
  • Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization’s standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist Operations Supervisor with the weekly billing audits by sorting passed/failed bill register, completing demographic data on the audit forms and faxes orders to the physicians.
  • Print outstanding verbal orders, 485s, expiring certification reports, daily ingenerated visit reports, daily visit after discharge reports, daily Medicare 485/verbal order billing report and weekly OASIS report.
  • Identify, develop and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of the services we provide.
  • Utilize Horizon Homecare to log in verbal orders and 485s.
  • Perform duties and job responsibilities in a fashion which coincides with the service management philosophy of UPMC/Jefferson Regional Home Health, L.P. towards patients, visitors, staff, peers, physicians and other departments within the organization.
  • Retrieve medical records and assists in the process/resolution for weekly Medicare billing audits, for resolution of outstanding 485s and verbal orders, validation reports and Medicare 485/verbal order report.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Competency with PC preferred.
  • 1-year related work experience preferred.
