The Team Member provides essential support in the Credit Bureau Reporting by assisting in the daily collection, validation, and maintenance of consumer credit data. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring data files are error-free before submission and resolving routine customer disputes within mandated timelines. It serves as a foundational position for those looking to build a career in banking risk and data management.   Description for Internal Candidates     Operations 360   Key Responsibilities * Data Entry & Maintenance: Enter, update, and retrieve credit information within the bank’s core systems to ensure reporting accuracy. * Initial Data Validation: Perform preliminary checks on credit files to identify obvious discrepancies, missing information, or formatting errors. * Dispute Processing : Assist in managing and responding to Credit Bureaus and consumer disputes. * Reconciliation Support: Help senior team members reconcile account data between the bank’s records and the bureau’s response files to resolve minor discrepancies. * Documentation & Filing: Maintain accurate and complete credit files, ensuring all reporting activities have a clear audit trail for compliance purposes. * Research & Monitoring: Conduct basic research on customer profiles and monitor existing accounts for changes that might trigger a reporting update. * Automation Support: Support the team's automation drive by helping to test new data-cleaning scripts or reporting software. Required Skills & Qualifications * Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. * Experience: 0–2 years of experience; internships in banking or financial services are a significant plus. * Technical Proficiency: * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas). * Basic understanding of databases or a willingness to learn SQL for data querying. * Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a keen eagerness to learn regulatory standards. * Regulatory Awareness: Foundational knowledge of credit reporting acts and related internal guidelines. Key Result Areas (KRAs) 1. Data Accuracy: Maintaining high standards in data entry with a near-zero error rate in initial file preparation. 2. Turnaround Time (TAT): Meeting daily deadlines for processing assigned disputes and data corrections. 3. Process Learning: Completing all internal training modules. 4. Reporting Support: Ensuring 100% of assigned daily reconciliation reports are completed and escalated to senior analysts if errors are found.
