ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE FACILITY TECHNICIAN:
Good knowledge of Health & Safety, Governance and Security
Previous experience working in an engineering lab, workshop or related facility as a qualified Technician/Foreman
A good working background in Engineering with a strong appreciation of an allied science or engineering discipline e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Integration or Test etc.

This role is 37 hours per week based at Farnborough.
At our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state of the art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects it is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation. THE ROLE:
As a Facility Technician, you will join the Science & Research Operations Group within QinetiQ UK Defence contributing to one of the most important programmes of work within the UK Defence industry.
This post is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of several laboratories and a build facility on the QinetiQ Farnborough site. You will be responsible for the coordination and deconfliction of the laboratory spaces, a large build facility and equipment for our internal customer. This post is also responsible for the safe operational aspects of how the workspaces are maintained, improved or reconfigured including the non-engineering assurance aspects such as ISO accreditations.
