Description

Responsible for operating and monitoring process equipment in both field and control room settings to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant performance. Works 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation, with overtime and TWIC certification required for some roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Equipment Operation

Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment such as pumps, compressors, furnaces, exchangers, and distillation towers. Use DCS systems and field inspections to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.

  • Maintenance & Reliability Support

Prepare equipment for maintenance, perform minor repairs, replenish lubricants, and support reliability initiatives, including mini-outages and turnarounds. Monitor for leaks and dispose of waste per environmental regulations.

  • Safety & Compliance

Follow HSSE protocols, participate in safety meetings and emergency drills, and maintain clean work areas. Ensure compliance with Control of Work (COW), LOTO, and permitting procedures.

  • Quality Assurance

Monitor product transfers and process controls to ensure conformance with ISO9001 standards. Report nonconformance and assist in maintaining product integrity.

  • Process Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Collect and analyze samples, adjust additives, respond to alarms, trace process lines, and assist with interplant transfers. Support engineers with field inspections and suggest process improvements.
