AGRIS Co-operative Ltd. has an opportunity for a full-time truck driver- operator 2 to join our AGRIS team in Brigden. As a truck driver, you will assist in the delivery of agriculture innovation and services to the communities we serve and to enhance farmer-owners’ profitability across our AGRIS Co-operative market.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB:

· An agricultural background is preferred.
· Ability to work irregular hours.
· A valid DZ license is required.
· Proven interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

· Provides an exceptional customer experience at every interaction.
· The safe operation of assigned vehicles.
· Ensures that all deliveries are made on schedule.
· Provide exceptional experiences at every interaction.
· Perform regular safety checks of the vehicle(s), keep the truck clean, and ensure that proper preventative maintenance and lubrication is carried out as required.
· Ensures that safe loading and unloading techniques are followed and must be able to load and unload trucks independently and operate electric pallet cart.
· Ensures that all associated documentation, including shipping and receiving, is accurate and completed according to schedule.
· Performs other tasks associated with the handling of seed, fertilizer, grain, and other products handled by the co-operative.
· Safety conscious and knows steps and procedures required in case of an accident; follows detailed procedures as stipulated.
· Maintains current legislated and company required licenses, permits, etc.
· Has good knowledge of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, practices safe driving techniques and maintains a good driving record.
· Understands and follows company health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
