Workforce Inc. is currently seeking an Operator 2 to assist a client located 75kms west of Timmins, ON! The Operator 2 works under the direction of the lead operator and is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining milling equipment and associated buildings as well as performing product testing for mill and railcar requirements and hauling concentrate to the load-out facility.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle is required
  • Preferably 1-2 years in a Mineral processing facility
  • Basic Mill Common Core considered an asset
  • AZ/DZ Driver’s License considered an asset
  • Previous experience operating a loader, crusher and/or grader considered an asset
  • Forklift Training and Certification considered an asset
  • First Aid Certification considered an asset
  • Strong communication skills required
    Schedule: 5/5/4 or 2/2/3, 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities
  • Fully supports the Heath, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) programs by participating in their implementation, maintenance and enforcements well as compliance with Corporate programs and policies
  • Takes proper samples from the circuit, trucks and railcars and performs production Quality Control tests required to ensure that quality standards are being met
  • Collects and performs testing on product samples for moistures and densities
  • Assists with the installation, relocation, and testing of equipment
  • Sets up and operates typical mobile mining equipment – including but not limited to loader, back-hoe, grader track mobile and utility trucks to move ore or waste or to support other mine activities
  • Performs required pre-use shift inspection of mobile equipment
  • Operates crushers, cleans, inspects, and monitors equipment
  • Maintains, repairs, fuels, and lubricates equipment as required and as per the manufacturer’s recommendations on a regular basis
  • Performs other equipment operation and routine maintenance duties
  • Maintains good housekeeping and 5S practices of crusher, floatation & drying building, silos, trucks, and work areas
  • Perform other duties as may be required and assigned by the Leader or Staff Supervisor
