Trouw Nutrition is hiring! We’re looking for a 5-Month Fixed Term Operator to join our pet food production team in St. Mary’s, ON. In this role, you’ll work with both machinery and computer systems to help produce high-quality animal feed.
We offer hands-on training and cross-training opportunities to keep our team engaged and versatile across all areas of the plant. Safety is our top priority, and we provide ongoing training to ensure a safe work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all paperwork required for assigned tasks ensuring proper documentation for Food Safety and follow quality standards
  • Ability to follow strict manufacturing practices and safety policies
  • Load bulk trucks: Unload and receive the ingredients; Accurately and efficiently ship products ordered by customers
  • Perform the tasks related to the preventive and sanitary maintenance of the plant and ensure that the quality control requirements of the ingredients are met at all times
  • Operate the production line
  • Endeavors to be productive at all times; Other duties as required

EXPECTATION FROM THE ROLE:

  • Regular, Full time, Shift-work.
  • Must be able to lift 25kg; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
  • Occasional requirement to work at heights
  • Must possess a valid class 5 license
  • Forklift driving experience (an asset)
  • Potential to transition into a permanent role, depending on business needs and your individual performance
