We are currently seeking an Operator who will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of Tessenderlo Kerley's new plant startup in Richland, WA. Key Accountabilities: Loading and unloading of trucks and railcars in accordance with TKI policy and OSHA, EPA, HM-126, BOE, and DOT regulations. Reading and recording of local instrumentation. Obtaining and analyzing product samples to ensure product quality. Containment, clean up, packaging, and labeling of Hazardous Waste according to HAZWOPER training and OSHA, EPA, RCRA, HM-126, and DOT regulations. Outside operation of manual valves and equipment. Assist the A operator in troubleshooting and correcting irregularities with the process and process equipment. Participate in the plant safety program including presenting and attending required safety meetings, reporting of potential hazards, and performing monthly safety inspections. Routine inspection of vessels and equipment to prevent equipment failure or damage. Maintain plant property in a clean and orderly fashion. Assist in plant projects including maintenance, turn-around, lockout/ tag-out, and confined space entries. Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by management. Perform new facility start-up activities including P&ID walk-down / red-line as built drawings, equipment and piping hydro-testing, and preparing equipment for service when turned over to operations. Assist with Process area set-up and organization. Assist with valve tagging, pipe labeling, sign installation, and safety related painting. Transload incoming product railcars to bulk truck for customer delivery until terminal is functional and in operation. Assist with development of plant operating procedures. Support A operator in submitting maintenance orders. Utilize plant equipment to clear snow and remove ice during inclement weather. Train closely with the A operator to learn the process. Assist with execution of turnaround maintenance activities. Monitor activities of contract personnel to ensure safe work practices are implemented. Maintain all plant areas in clean and organized manner. Obtain, analyze, and prepare for shipment process and storage product samples. Qualifications Key Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors: HS diploma or GED is required. Must be able to attend classes and pass the state-required boiler operator certificate program. Technical and mechanical experience desired. Demonstrate ability to communicate and work with co-workers and customers professionally, all with a positive attitude. Must be able to read and understand the material. Basic mathematical and analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Computer literate – must know basic computer skills. Possess good time-management skills. Responsibilities

The operator is responsible for loading and unloading railcars and trucks, monitoring plant instrumentation, and ensuring product quality through sampling. They also perform equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and assist in the startup and organization of the new facility.
