Description
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece or setup requirements. Sets up, starts, and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and troubleshoots or adjusts machine controls as required. Operates a variety of machines as directed by supervisor or lead. Completes changeovers and material feed-through. Completes first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists. Uses gauges and calipers to inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. Performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Experience using various measuring instruments and reading blueprints. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
