Description
The Operator I's role is responsible for operating and monitoring manually fed punch press equipment within the Fabrication department and comply with all safety policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment Fabricate parts according to drawings, routings, and work instructions to determine necessary parts and fixtures and obtain material from stock areas Set and adjust fabrication materials and equipment and perform quality checks using measuring equipment and or templates Cross-train in other areas of the department and train new- hire operators on operating presses Ability to lift 40 pounds and stand throughout working shift and work overtime as needed. Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Must not be on a written or a final written warning (Internal Only) Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role (Internal Only) Previous experience operating a press Experience working with precision-measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, tape measures) Experience with Mapics and Matrix computer systems Ability to interpret drawings and/or blueprints Ability to trouble shoot operations equipment
