Description
This position is responsible for the set up and operation of various machines to produce quality parts based on pre-determined specifications. Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece or setup requirements Sets up, starts, and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and troubleshoots or adjusts machine controls as required Operates a variety of machines as directed by supervisor or lead Completes changeovers and material feed-through Completes first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists Uses gauges and calipers to inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications Performs other duties as assigned Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Experience with various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applications must be US persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (i.e. “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of LaGrange, NC (50 miles) will be considered for this position. Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
