YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years experience in Cargo and/or Shipping Operations (experience with heavy distillates is a plus)
  • Environment: Multi-Cultural, International Commodity Trading environment and all aspects related to industry operations (value chain Front to Back Office departments, Trade Life Cycle, External / Internal communications)
  • Experience in working with Trading Platform Business Intelligence tools such as E/CTRM and ERPs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – problem solver, decision taker and a strong sense of organization / optimization
  • Fluency in English (spoken/Written) – working language will be English (Knowledge of other Arabic / Eastern European / Asian language a plus)
  • Fluency in the IT tools
  • University Graduate Bachelor or Master in Business or Science/Technical

Responsibilities
  • Manage operational activities related to seaborne and inland cargo movements for oil products and other commodities
  • Handle cargo and barge operations, including vessel vetting, cargo insurance, issuance of voyage instructions, documentary instructions, discharge orders, inspector nominations, and other operational matters
  • Monitor and coordinate with storage terminals to ensure accurate inventory control and timely transfers
  • Handle invoicing and follow up on settlements to ensure timely payment and accurate documentation
  • Process demurrage and other claims, ensuring timely submission, analysis, and resolution
  • Coordinate with internal departments including, but not limited to, Trading, Middle Office, Trade Finance, Treasury and Accounting to ensure alignment and timely execution of all processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of required operational information in the CTRM system and supporting Excel files for tracking, reporting and compliance purposes
