Job Description Based in Te Kuiti, as an Operator/Labourer you’ll be an essential part of our WDC (Waitomo District Council) Maintenance team. You’ll operate heavy equipment and machinery, assist with civil construction, drainage, and water duties, and support your teammates with hands-on labouring tasks. You’ll work closely with supervisors and colleagues to ensure all work is completed to a high standard, safely, and on time. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact on our projects and community. Key Responsibilities: Operate vehicles, plant, and equipment efficiently and legally Assist with a range of civil construction and maintenance tasks Maintain high standards of workmanship and site safety Communicate effectively with your team and supervisors Promote and uphold health and safety practices at all times Qualifications We’re after someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. If you know your way around heavy machinery, have experience with road construction or drainage, and enjoy working outdoors with a solid crew, you’ll fit right in.
