Job Description We are seeking motivated and safety‑focused Operators to join our Newport Terminal team. This is an essential field‑based role supporting the safe handling and storage of fuel products and the day‑to‑day operation of the terminal. This includes managing truck gantry loading, product transfers and stock control. You will also complete regular maintenance inspections, perform quality checks, sampling and testing. This opportunity is suited to both: Experienced operators from fuel terminals, tankfarms, gantry/loading facilities or other high‑risk operational environments, and Those earlier in their careers who are keen to build core terminal operating skills through structured training and mentoring. You will work collaboratively with operations, maintenance and product quality teams to ensure terminal activities are completed safely, compliantly and efficiently. Depending on your experience, you will receive training or bring capability across a broad range of terminal operations. This role provides exposure to key operational, maintenance and HSSE activities and offers a strong foundation for progression into Senior Terminal Operator, Gantry Supervisor and Terminal Controller roles. Key Responsibilities Monitoring and recording fuel product levels and movements, including tank dipping and inventory management Conducting product sampling and undertaking required testing in accordance with procedures Supervise Tanker Drivers for gantry product loading (assist with inductions, assessing competence and conduct vehicle inspections). Providing safe access to plant and equipment through work clearances, gas testing, permits and isolations Complete routine operational observations within the terminal (including tank water draining, bund surveillance, gantry surveillance, pipeline and pump surveillance, fire system surveillance, and operational functionality testing). Supporting asset management activities, including Assisting with preventative, reactive and follow‑on maintenance work orders Using the JDE maintenance management system in line with regulations, standards and codes of practice Assisting with maintenance and project work, including transitions between operational and project activities Maintaining housekeeping standards across operational and site areas Conducting ad hoc audits and engaging with drivers and fleet operators to support safe and compliant operations Participating in HSSE activities, including audits, emergency response, assurance activities and work insights. Comfortable working a rotating 12‑hour shift roster (6:00am–6:00pm and 6:00pm–6:00am) as part of a flexible and dynamic work environment.
