Responsibilities: Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and skilled Operator, Refinery & Fractionation to join our team at PT Padang Raya Cakrawala. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of refinery and fractionation units, ensuring products meet quality specifications and production targets are achieved. Job Responsibilities * Operate and monitor refinery and fractionation processing equipment, including distillation columns, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, and furnaces, from a control room and field. * Perform routine checks and adjustments to process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates, levels) to maintain optimal operating conditions and product quality. * Conduct regular field patrols to inspect equipment for leaks, malfunctions, abnormal noises, or other operational issues, and report findings to supervisors. * Initiate emergency shutdown procedures when necessary, following established safety protocols. * Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and interpret results, making process adjustments as required. * Assist with the startup, shutdown, and lockout/tagout procedures for various units and equipment. * Troubleshoot operational problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in consultation with supervisors and engineers. * Maintain accurate operational logs, shift reports, and other required documentation. * Adhere strictly to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies. * Participate in training programs and safety meetings. * Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed and assist maintenance personnel with larger repairs. Job Qualifications * High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field is preferred. * Minimum of 3 years of experience operating in a refinery, petrochemical plant, or similar heavy industrial processing environment, with specific experience in fractionation preferred. * Strong understanding of process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and process control systems. * Ability to interpret and respond to alarms and process deviations effectively. * Excellent observational skills and attention to detail for monitoring process conditions and identifying anomalies. * Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental compliance. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors. * Physical ability to perform duties in a demanding industrial environment, including working rotating shifts, standing for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasional lifting. * Proficiency in basic computer applications for data entry and report generation.
