These values are our foundation!   About the Role Sinch Operator Relations Middle East Africa are looking to recruit an Account Manager to join our Africa team and help Sinch win in messaging in the African continent. As an Operator Relations Account Manager you will be an integral part of the Sinch Africa team reporting to the Head Operator Relations Africa. In this role the Account manager will build and manage relationships with existing clients and grow Sinch’s portfolio in these accounts. The Account Manager will also be responsible for developing new Operator relationships and driving Sinch’s Operator portfolio in Africa region.   Key responsibilities * Manage Existing Operator Accounts in the Africa region. Maintaining and developing existing contracts and identifying new opportunities for Sinch messaging (SMS and RCS). * Develop relationships and create opportunities with African Operators new to Sinch to grow Sinch’s messaging business in Africa. * Identify Opportunities for Sinch products and work with the wider Sinch organization to develop and close these opportunities. * Formulate Account Plans and pipeline to achieve commercial targets as set for the region. This includes but is not limited to identifying key persons, initial contact, building trust and agreement signature with target operators. * Formulate Engagement plans for must win opportunities as agreed by management. * Coordinate between Mobile Operators and Sinch Technical Teams to resolve any obstacles and ensure new signed contracts are implemented. * Work closely with internal Sinch teams to manage routing, billing & settlement ensuring a smooth working relationship. * Support Sinch’s Enterprise Sales teams to enable them to provide clients the best possible solution and pricing to win. * Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the countries within the region. Closely following country regulatory, regional market trends and the competitive environment. Develop Country plans that can be used to position Sinch’s Operator portfolio in a country reducing our costs and strengthening Sinch position in the region.   About you * Have at least 3 years’ experience in a commercial role within the messaging ecosystem, dealing directly with Mobile Operators. * Have a proven record of success developing new business at a messaging service provider or Mobile Operator. * Have a clear understanding of the messaging ecosystem, how it works, and awareness of regional differences and competitive landscapes. * An established C-level and senior management network within the industry. * Good business acumen to manage complex deals such as exclusive A2P Monetisation. * A people person and team player, with the ability to work across cultural differences within a global organization like Sinch. * An independent decision-maker who takes ownership and delivers results. * A tertiary qualification in business or a similar field. * Able to travel when required, including internationally (Africa exposure is a plus). * Fluency in English, both written and spoken.   You will stand out if you have: * Experience working with Mobile Operators in Africa or other emerging markets. * Experience working for a Mobile Operator in wholesale, roaming, or VAS departments. * Strong knowledge of A2P Monetisation and a track record of winning deals, with access to key decision-makers. * A solid technical and commercial understanding gained from a role in a technology company. * Experience working in an international environment. * Additional languages such as French, Portuguese, or Arabic.   At Sinch, we value learning, embrace change, and offer opportunities for personal and professional growth.
