The Downer South division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country. We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming Specialist Operator to join our Quarry team. This role will be primarily operating our Hitachi 360LC Excavator, carrying out key tasks such as drainage work, haul road maintenance, loading client trucks, and supporting general quarry operations as required. Working alongside our dedicated team, you will also have the opportunity to operate a range of machinery including Loaders, Bulldozers, and Articulated Dump Trucks. Ngā pūkenga matua | Important Skills You will be a physically fit and motivated person who brings: * Good to advanced excavator operating skills (essential) * Experience operating heavy machinery in a quarry environment * Experience on Loaders, Bulldozers and Articulated Dump Trucks (highly advantageous) * A can-do attitude and ability to solve day-to-day challenges * Ability to complete tasks involving manual labour when required * Enjoyment of working outdoors and staying physically active * Mechanical aptitude * Class 2 licence and WTR endorsement Ko wai mātou | Our Organisation Want to know more about what it is like to work at Downer?
