As part of a small, tight-knit contracting crew, you’ll enjoy real variety and the satisfaction of seeing the results of your work every day, helping keep key projects moving and supporting local infrastructure. Mō te tūranga | About the role In this role you’ll work across construction sites, quarries and local roads in Taranaki, splitting your time between driving heavy trucks and operating excavators. Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities Drive trucks to transport metal, soil, aggregate, between sites and projects Operate excavators, bulk excavation, trenching, including safely loading and unloading trucks on construction sites, quarries and local roads Support civil construction work such as drainage, roading, pavement construction and site preparation, stepping into labouring and on-the-ground tasks when needed Complete daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance and cleaning of trucks and machinery, and maintain accurate logbooks and paperwork Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with Proven experience driving trucks in a civil construction or contracting environment Demonstrated experience operating excavators on work sites in urban and brown field environments Class 4 driver licence (minimum) Current W, T, R endorsements to operate wheels, tracks and rollers He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.
