You'll have the opportunity to use your initiative to drive changes and upgrades while making meaningful contributions to vital environmental initiatives.What's on offer Permanent full-time position with flexible working hours Attractive remuneration with overtime paid on an hourly basis Diverse and varied role with various projects to be involved in Opportunity for career growth and skill development Opportunity to develop skills across multiple sites and treatment technologies What you'll be responsible for Operate, monitor and maintain the leachate treatment plant Assist the project/process engineers in undertaking improvement and optimisation initiatives Carry out water sampling with a high degree of care to prevent cross contamination Maintain asset integrity by regular inspections, services and testing to ensure maximum uptime Work closely with stakeholders to ensure contract and regulatory obligations are met Undertake routine maintenance activities including supervision of work orders and maintaining a spare parts inventor Engaging and supervising contractors for works conducted on site What you'll need to be successful A proven record of problem solving, diagnosing issues and facilitating repairs  Experience in water treatment operations - preferred but not essential  A working knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and components Previous experience in water sampling and/or testing is highly regarded A willingness to work overtime, weekends and be a part of an ‘on call’ roster if required Forklift experience and licence - preferred but not essential Be able to pass a criminal history check and Department of Defence baseline security clearance   Veolia’s AlwaysSafe culture means that we care about the safety of people on our sites.  We operate a zero tolerance drug and alcohol approach and shortlisted candidates must be prepared to undertake a full pre-employment medical check which includes drug and alcohol screening.
