Job Description The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine. OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Operator – Water Treatment, to optimize the water treatment facility requirements with utilization and throughput being obtained and water quality standards are met using sound operating practices, Standard operating procedures, and personnel working in a safe and efficient manner to ensure all are sustainable daily. The role will report to the Supervisor – Water Management Key tasks and responsibilities: Ensure compliance with OceanaGold Philippines Inc, company values, policies and standards Ensure compliance with all the rules and regulations and other compliance obligations of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System (IMS) Achieve water treatment facility utilization target Maintain and monitor the required services for the water treatment facilities by ensuring sufficient supply of reagents for the operation, checking water tank levels, pumps and pipes for any problem and abnormalities Assists in conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs. · Follows established protocols for managing and organizing facility-related documentation, such as maintenance records and service contracts Collects documents and other relevant data according to standard procedures. Double checks accuracy of data being entered into the system regularly Raises issues regarding records and data to immediate supervisor in a timely manner Perform work safely and immediately report unsafe situations to supervisor Complete all required Standard Operating Procedures Sign-Off Cross training to other areas of the Process Department when directed by the Supervisor or Superintendent Qualifications Behaviour consistent with OceanaGold Values and the OceanaGold Way Educational Background: At least High School Level Work Experience and Background: Knowledge and skill in the utilization of mobile equipment such as Skid Loader, Forklift, Telehandler and or Overhead Crane Knowledge in Haul Truck operation is an advantage With previous experience in Water Treatment Environment is an advantage With Basic Life Support Training Specialization/License: Holder of a Valid Driver’s License is mandatory TESDA Accredited HEO – Forklift NC-II holder Any approved forklift/ crane / wheels/ rollers/ truck licenses would be well regarded Desired Qualifications · Physically fit Knowledge: Water management Proper Chemical handling Skills Basic plumbing and civil work skills Basic understanding in Mathematics Abilities: Communicate with peers and superiors Basic reading and writing comprehension Additional Information WHAT'S ON OFFER: Competitive salary Accommodation and food provided on site Travel provided to and from work Rice allowance Health Insurance Living Our Values recognition program Access to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Exceptional working environment where people are valued and respected Eligibility to Work: To be considered for this role, you must have valid working rights in the country where the role is located.
