Description

Leading project teams to optimize the overall quality and/or productivity of any process performed within any department in the facility (improving quality, productivity, and reducing overall costs) and serving as mentor and advisor to Technicians

  • Identify through data analysis, work required in critical areas to drive improvement and efficiencies (i.e., initiatives/processes that reduce oil waste), provide recommendations on process settings).
  • Visit the production floor, to investigate issues with the subject matter experts (SME) to assist in resolution (troubleshooting).
  • Bench-mark best practices with industry leading competitors and internal manufacturing plants to assist in new process implementation and providing recommendations to facilitate transitions or improve efficiencies
  • Customer contact including troubleshooting quality complaints, responding to various inquiries.
  • Research industry leading technology and processes via internet, trade shows, networking, University relationships.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Planner/Scheduler on special projects as required.

Technical College Degree, bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5-7 Years in Manufacturing
3-5 Years leadership in production facility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (preferred)
