The Clearview Institute is a modern surgical eye care facility located in Toronto. We are currently seeking new talent in the full-time role of an Ophthalmic Technician to accompany our team of highly qualified professionals.
The successful candidate is an organized and polished individual that is well- groomed with a bright, caring and outgoing professional personality. The candidate is exceptionally organized and pays particular attention to detail. The candidate has excellent communication skills with an ability to adapt to a variety of patient types; combined with superior customer service and patient care.
The candidate will be able to work under pressure and adapt to the often-changing working environment. Have excellent command of the english language both written and verbal.
The duties of the Ophthalmic Technician are as follows but not limited to, promptly and professionally assists the doctor in patient care, performs technical workups, patient histories and special testing. Efficiently and accurately interview patients and documents histories. Has experience with and can accurately perform; refractions w/retinoscopy, lensometry, keratometry, tonometry, visual fields, pupil exams, topography, OCT, IOL Master, ASCAN and assist’s surgeon in Laser eye surgeries (training and certifcation provided). Troubleshoot, replace or repair electronic & mechanical equipment, assemblies and components using the equipment’s service manuals as well as electronic test instruments and tools.
Minimum 3 years practical experience preferred in an ophthalmology (not optometry) environment is a must and required.
