Our physicians are board certified ophthalmologists by the American board of Ophthalmology and completed an additional two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship in diseases of the retina, macular, and vitreous. With six MD's and eleven offices in the Houston, TX area we have an ongoing mission to always deliver the best possible care. Position Summary We are now hiring for an Ophthalmic technician that will support a high-volume ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to each patient needing complete eye care services. Responsibilities This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. Ophthalmic skills include: Obtain and document patient history and visual complaint into EMR. Perform and document visual acuity, motility, pupil reation, IOP and confrontational visual fields Administer dilating eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks Provide patient assistance as needed. Maintain, sterilize and calibrate equipment Maintain supply room deliveries and stock.
