Description JOB SUMMARY Assist Physician with patient examination and treatment, responsible for patient histories, routine diagnostic procedures, as well as some clerical duties. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and stock all exam rooms Clean and maintain all instruments Prepare patients for examination Take patient history, visual acuity, topography/iTrace, pentacam, pachymetry Take dictation and document medicals while physician is examining patient Administer drops under physician supervision Collect and calculate diagnostic data: K readings, refraction, Assist physician during refractive surgery Travel to multiple locations in Metro Atlanta area Ability to provide coverage for other ophthalmic subspecialties within the practice Requirements High school diploma or minimum of two (2) years of Ophthalmology tech experience Certification on Vario, Allegretto EX-500 preferred. LASIK experience is preferred Strong organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in EMR software (Modmed preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Flexibility (may require some early mornings and evenings)
