Our established multi-specialty Ophthalmology group is seeking a skilled professional to join our friendly and dedicated team. Travel is REQUIRED: Meriden & Bloomfield Your Impact: Lead Clinical Excellence: Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for the technician team, ensuring all patient work-ups and information gathering meet the high standards of our ophthalmologists. Oversee Diagnostic Standards: Monitor the quality of preliminary examinations and advanced diagnostics (OCT, perimetry, etc.) performed by the team, providing coaching and troubleshooting as needed • Master ophthalmic testing: Conduct thorough preliminary examinations, including visual acuity, pupillary responses, and more. • Perform advanced diagnostics: Administer a range of diagnostic tests, such as OCT, perimetry, and ophthalmic photography. • Assist in surgical procedures: Support ophthalmologists during minor surgeries, laser procedures, and crosslinking. • Streamline patient flow: Efficiently manage patient flow in clinic and imaging rooms, collaborating with clinical staff. • Contribute to clinic efficiency: Perform clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow. What You'll Bring/Requirements: Proven ability to lead a team by example with a passion for patient care and professional excellence. Passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician. • Knowledge of medical office procedures. • Ability to perform indirect activities, administrative tasks and any other assigned duties that contribute to the efficient & high-quality performance of the medical practice. • High School Diploma or equivalent. Bonus Points: • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) Certification.
