Description Job Responsibilities: Interview patients and document ocular and medical histories Perform preliminary testing i.e.: visual acuity, pupillary responses, confrontation visual fields, motility, stereopsis, color vision, angle assessment, refractometry and applanation tonometry. Perform diagnostic testing including automated perimetry, OCT, A&B scans, optical biometry and ophthalmic photography, fluorescein angiography, corneal topography and keratometry Assist in minor surgery procedures, laser surgery, laser refractive surgery and crosslinking Monitor and facilitate patient flow in the clinic and in the imaging rooms, working collaboratively with other clinical staff. Administer eye drops as required by the physician. (Certification Required) Perform clinical and administrative duties as directed. *Performs indirect activities and administrative tasks that contribute to the efficient and high-quality performance of the clinic: Any other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification Special Skills: Ability to work well with others. Reliable Excellent communication skills Data entry and typing skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional customer service skills Proven experience as an Ophthalmic Technician Knowledge medical office procedures
