We are seeking an Ophthalmic Tech/Scribe to join our team at Pediatric Ophthalmology, PC . In this vital role, you will support our ophthalmologist and optometrist by documenting patient encounters and ensuring accurate medical records, contributing significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional eye care.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately document patient histories and examination findings during consultations.
  • Assist the doctors with clinical tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date medical records using EMR systems.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and conducting intake procedures.
  • Support office operations by managing appointment schedules and patient flow.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care delivery.
  • Qualifications
  • Associates degree.
  • Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately and perform intake procedures effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
